The poem that made Imam Ahmad cry (video)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful [towards all mankind], the Especially Merciful [towards the believers]

Back- to- back video posts I know, but only because they are definitely worth a click!

The eighth century Islamic scholar and jurist Imam Ahmad (may Allah SWT be pleased with him) is one of the most loved and influential figures in the history of Islam.  Despite his wealth of knowledge and all the admiration he gained, some of his most inspirational qualities were his humility, piety and overwhelming love for the Lord of all creation.

The video featured in this post contains a poem which Imam Ahmad once heard.  He was so struck by the words that he spent that night crying while constantly repeating the opening two lines to himself.  I first saw this YouTube video a while ago, but I was recently shown it again.  It is truly beautiful in both its message and eloquence.

O Muslim, watch this to soften your rusty heart and heed the call of your Creator!

O Non-Muslim, watch it to determine the effect it has on you- if you have an open heart it will have an impact inshaAllah (English subtitles included)
