Salem bin Rashed (Salem, the son of Rashed)
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Muslims believe that guidance is from Allah. That is why if you sincerely search for the truth, if you ask God to guide you if He is really out there, we believe there is no doubt He will. Allah guides whom He wills and the means that Allah chooses to guide His slaves vary. Some people are brought closer to faith through calamity, others through appreciativeness because of bounties they have received. Some reverts describe how they set out on a personal quest to disprove the truth of Islam, only to end up submitting to its undeniable certainty. There are a multitude of other reasons besides these.
Many of us began to practise our religion properly as a result of meeting amazing brothers/sisters, mashaAllah. The beauty of their faith and actions was the inspiration behind our own spiritual awakening. To this day I truly love those sisters who played a pivotal role in opening my eyes to the beauty of Islam and the sweetness of practising it. May Allah reward them with the loftiest of stations in Paradise, ameen.
This post shares a very beautiful and emotional real-life account. I pray you find it inspirational, inshaAllah.
